Crayon Feat. KLP - Give You Up (Darius Remix)

~ Le Crayon released this EP featuring not only some awesome originals, but a remix from Darius that comes with our highest recommendations. Always careful to add a wonderful kick and percussion that sounds immaculate and crisp, Darius remixes the original with some great synth stabs, clean, running hi hats and funked up bass. This is a must-have for the music connoisseur. ~

Eli Paperboy Woohoo (FKJ RMX)

~ FKJ is back with a great remix after his most recent EP "Time for a Change" out on the French label Roche Musique. This time he puts his spin on the Brooklyn pop-soul artist Eli Paperboy. The vocals sync incredibly well with FKJ's funky bass and silky synth chord stabs. Eli writes music he "thinks people will respond to", including pop sound and soul in most of tracks. Shook - Summer Heat (Album Version)

~ Shook has completed his debut album and it's set to release this August! If you haven't heard his tunes, Shook is a funk master with the keys, gets you moving with relaxed beats and tosses in some really top notch synth solos in most of his work. In anticipation of the album, Shook posted this track "Summer Heat" up to soundcloud - and, if the rest of the album sounds as funky and expressive as this track, there will be many more jams to come in August. A Tribe Called Quest - 1nce Again (Bit Funk Remix)

~ We're huge fans of Brooklyn's Bit Funk. With this acapella vocal from A Tribe Called Quest -- which we obsessively listened to for a period of our lives, certainly brings a totally different sound to a song we know so well.  Very cool to hear some open hi hats and piano infused with this beat - definitely listen all the way through there is a great synth solo in the last verse. Shameless fun <3 ~
