End of Summer // Café Culture

~ Summer is coming to an end. There were an incredible amount of amazing tracks released in the past three months and it's safe to say that electronic music is progressing and transforming right before our eyes. As the masses dig deeper into exploring, for themselves, different futuristic sounds, the culture continues to grow. Here we present an end of summer mix featuring some of our favorite artists and their most recent works. Stay with us as we go through a bit of transformation and the creation of our sister company in NYC. We love you and this fall is going to be a big development period! ~

The Smiths - This Charming Man (Luis Leon Bootleg)

~ It takes guts to remix, bootleg, mash up, or even really touch music by the Smiths. We stumbled across this bootleg on another blog, clicking skeptically on the play button and we were impressed! Luis Leon really treats this bootleg well, adding some great bass, percussion, adding a melodic lead line and placing the airy vocals right in the mix. Download this one for free! ~

Alex Metric DJ Mix Aug 2013

~ The UK dj/producer Alex Metric posted his August 2013 mix today titled, Disco Pogo for Punks in Pumps. He starts it off with the great disco track Tiger & Woods released a short while ago and continues on with the likes of Todd Terje, Jacques Lu Cont, Peter & the Magician and some of his own smashing remixes. Shook - Summer Heat (Album Version)

~ Shook has completed his debut album and it's set to release this August! If you haven't heard his tunes, Shook is a funk master with the keys, gets you moving with relaxed beats and tosses in some really top notch synth solos in most of his work. In anticipation of the album, Shook posted this track "Summer Heat" up to soundcloud - and, if the rest of the album sounds as funky and expressive as this track, there will be many more jams to come in August.
