End of Summer // Café Culture

~ Summer is coming to an end. There were an incredible amount of amazing tracks released in the past three months and it's safe to say that electronic music is progressing and transforming right before our eyes. As the masses dig deeper into exploring, for themselves, different futuristic sounds, the culture continues to grow. Here we present an end of summer mix featuring some of our favorite artists and their most recent works. Stay with us as we go through a bit of transformation and the creation of our sister company in NYC. We love you and this fall is going to be a big development period! ~

Aeroplane - All Night Long - Funk & Boogie Edition

~ The latest mix is here from Aeroplane. It's pretty much what you might expect as a fan - playful, happy house, funk and boogie. Vito is curating this mix for a series of parties he's playing starting out in London. So you can probably expect a couple more "All Night Long" mixes coming in the near future! Definitely play this one out. ~

Crayon Feat. KLP - Give You Up (Darius Remix)

~ Le Crayon released this EP featuring not only some awesome originals, but a remix from Darius that comes with our highest recommendations. Always careful to add a wonderful kick and percussion that sounds immaculate and crisp, Darius remixes the original with some great synth stabs, clean, running hi hats and funked up bass. This is a must-have for the music connoisseur. ~

Rogue Vogue - Say You Will EP - HOD010

~ Rogue Vogue has been putting out some of the hottest house lately and is definitely a producer to keep a close eye on. He has released on French Express, Shiny Disco Club and Deep & Disco - now finding a new home with House of Disco Records. The EP, "Say You Will," is top notch [well, at least from the preview] - but to supplement this gold are two other awesome remixes - offering a totally different sound.  Stay tuned for this release and a great remix from 6th Avenue Express! ~

95 Royale - Spend My Time

~ Here's the latest upbeat - too hot to touch - disco house track from 95 Royale [released on On the Fruit Records]. The track strips down to just the foundational elements - a strong sample, a good beat and a reliance on the filter - to pack a punch that would energize even a sleeping dance floor. ~

Shook - Summer Heat (Album Version)

~ Shook has completed his debut album and it's set to release this August! If you haven't heard his tunes, Shook is a funk master with the keys, gets you moving with relaxed beats and tosses in some really top notch synth solos in most of his work. In anticipation of the album, Shook posted this track "Summer Heat" up to soundcloud - and, if the rest of the album sounds as funky and expressive as this track, there will be many more jams to come in August. You can download it for free and stay tuned for the rest! ~

Renée - We got the Music

~ Check out this track from Renée and the Disko Starz. The french house sound reminds us that on occasion, the point is repetition.  "We've got the music" teases out a sample, with heavy filter use, that allows the listener in every moment to find happiness a new piece of the production. ~
